10 Jul 2019  Globalstar, Inc. announced its financial results for the quarter ending 31 March 2019.
Virgin Galactic and Social Capital Hedosophia announce merger
09 Jul 2019  Virgin Galactic and Social Capital Hedosophia, a public investment vehicle sponsored by Social Capital and Hedosophia, announced that the boards of directors of each company have approved a definitive agreement under which VG and SCH will merge, with the current shareholders of SCH expected to own up to approximately 49% of the combined company. Upon closing of the transaction, which is expected in the second half of 2019, VG will be introduced as a publicly traded company.

FAILURES

Vega failure said to be largest ever space insurance loss
14 Jul 2019  Munich Re confirmed it is one of the insurers for the Vega rocket which failed after take-off on 11 July (UTC), destroying a military observation satellite about to be placed in orbit for the United Arab Emirates.
First Vega failure - on 15th mission
11 Jul 2019  Approximately two minutes after the Vega launcher's lift-off from the Spaceport in French Guiana, a launcher anomaly occurred shortly after ignition of the Zefiro 23 second stage - leading to the premature end of the mission.
Vega launch of FalconEye1 ends in failure
10 Jul 2019  UPDATE: A "major anomaly" occurred during the mission and resulted in the loss of the payload. Earlier, Arianespace restarted launch operations for Flight VV15 as weather conditions were improving over the Spaceport in French Guiana.

14 Jul 2019  The new Amos-17 satellite is in the final stages of its prelaunch preparation, operator Spacecom announced.
Delay of the day: GSLV/Chandrayaan2
14 Jul 2019  ISRO said that "A technical snag was observed in launch vehicle system at T-56 minute. As a measure of abundant precaution, Chandrayaan2 launch has been called off for today. Revised launch date will be announced later."

Small Soyuz rocket lifts off on unannounced mission
11 Jul 2019  Rocket: Soyuz-2.1v/Volga; Payload: four military satellites [probably designated Kosmos 2535, 2536, 2537 and 2538]; Date: 10 July 2019, 1714 UTC; Launch site: Plesetsk, Russia. The successful separation of all four satellites was announced four hours later.

11 Jul 2019  Spaceflight announced it is providing mission management and rideshare integration services on an upcoming launch from the International Space Station (ISS) and Northrop Grumman's Cygnus launch vehicle.
1st flight of Russian recoverable rocket stage planned for 2021-2022
10 Jul 2019  The first flight of the Russian recoverable stage of the Krylo-SV launch vehicle is scheduled for 2021-2022, Director-General of the Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Projects Andrei Grigoryev was quoted as saying.
Virgin Orbit completes key rocket test
10 Jul 2019  Virgin Orbit has released a rocket from the wing of a modified Boeing 747 jetliner in mid-air in a key test of its high-altitude launch system for satellites, the company said.

14 Jul 2019  Maxar Technologies has begun production on a Legion-class geostationary satellite for Ovzon, a company located in the United States and Sweden dedicated to meeting the demand for increased mobile broadband connectivity in underserved regions.
Ball Aerospace completes CDR of NASA's IXPE mission
11 Jul 2019  The mission critical design review (M-CDR) of NASA's Imaging X-Ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE) space-based astrophysics observatory was recently completed at Ball Aerospace's Boulder, Colorado, facility. The IXPE mission is led by NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, with support from Ball Aerospace, the Italian Space Agency (ASI), Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at University of Colorado Boulder and other partners.
Success of the 2nd touchdown of asteroid explorer Hayabusa2
11 Jul 2019  The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) on 11 July (UTC) performed a series of operations for the second touchdown of Asteroid Explorer Hayabusa2 on the Ryugu asteroid and the collection of its soil samples.
LightSail 2 team to conduct more testing before sail deployment
